PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

Sumner, TX | Full-time

General Description:

Load Trail’s is currently searching for a Production Supervisor at our Sumner, TX location. This position provides great growth potential and the opportunity to work in a VERY stable, exciting, and fast paced environment. This individual MUST have manufacturing related supervisory and/or leadership experience (Welding and Painting are preferred but not mandatory.). Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Focus on Safety protocols and make sure all Employees are adhering to Load Trail’s PPE requirements.

  • Uphold high Quality standards and enforce Quality process checks.

  • Maintain work flow by monitoring steps of the process by observing control points and equipment, monitoring personnel and resources, studying the manufacturing methods.

  • Implement cost reductions by developing reporting procedures and systems

  • Build a team work atmosphere within own areas of responsibility and between departments.

  • Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems.

  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

  • Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.

  • Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data

  • Communicates back answers to questions and responds to employee requests.

  • Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements

  • Implements process changes generated from employee suggestions or other areas.

  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources.

  • Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

  • Trouble shoot issues that arise during production runs.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Leadership to lead a work force of 20 – 60 Hourly Employees

  • Ability to communicate clearly to all levels from Hourly Employees to Senior Management

  • Manufacturing experience in a fast paced, high volume environment

  • This position requires the flexibility to work 40+ hours per week and weekends as required.

 

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 yrs. Supervisory experience (preferred)

  • Experience in metal fabrication, assembly and/or paint (preferred)
